Vases on A23

Vases in different shapes, sizes and designs as familiar objects of the interior are positioned at selected locations on the A23. The presence of, in comparison to the massive concrete, vulnerable ceramics creates an atmosphere of sublime care and attention. The plain concrete strip without personal reference changes into a place of identification, and allows instead of pure transit, a kind of residence.
These vases on the highway can not be misinterpreted, starting from simple decoration, misunderstood "art in public space", up to a memento to the ancient transport of goods with amphoras. Any interpretation is possible as it gives the A23 a distinctive identity that breaks the monotony and will be remembered.
