Thekla & Lloyd

Thekla & Lloyd represent the culmination of our exploration into wall shelves. Over the course of time, functions of representation, presentation, storage, and use became manifest in utterly varied forms.
Looking a bit closer, what becomes apparent are a reliance on the wall and various approaches to the space as well as a fluctuation between architecture, built-in furniture, and design. Thekla & Lloyd take shape within a space: they invite one to lean on them as though on a plank sprung loose from the wall. Thekla & Lloyd hold your favorite objects, keeping them subtly visible and within reach without intrusively dominating the space.
