Showing through of glue

"New Veneers" were developed on the basis of tradtional craftsmenship. They are a contemporary interpretation of the traditional methods of veneering and marquetry. We discovered that one of the worst mistakes for a carpenter is when the glue becomes visible. In past centuries the glue was coloured in the same colour of the wood to make this mistake invisible. We experimented with this mistake and developed a new method to use coloured glue on differnet veneers. This experiment opens a whole new category of coloured wooden surfaces and aesthetic possibilities.
